An entrepreneurial technologist. Paddy combines inventiveness with commercial skills to create innovative software products that drive successful businesses. Paddy’s experience includes: executive management and consultancy; building companies and teams from scratch; inventing and patenting new software technologies to exploit market opportunities; delivering complex software products on time and to budget; negotiating and closing ten million dollar plus investment rounds and major OEM contracts; expertise in advanced engineering processes that use a combination of on shore, off shore and outsourced teams. As founder of CloudTwin, Paddy has embarked on his third software startup to enable enterprises to take advantage of public clouds. Prior to CloudTwin Paddy was CTO of Neverfail where he defined and directed product development that enabled the company to become a technology leader in business continuity software. Paddy’ second startup was iOra where he was co-founder, CEO and CTO. At iOra he raised investment and drove the strategy of the business that led to its commercial success and resulted in the sale of the business to a public UK software business in 2005. Paddy’s first startup was International Business Software, where he was first employee and lead developer. International Business Software was bought by Novell in 1992, where Paddy became general manager at their European R&D centre and led the development of Novell Replication Services from concept to release. Prior to International Business Software Paddy held management, consulting and development positions at Prime Computer and International Computers Limited. Paddy has a degree in Mathematics and Computer science from Sussex University. Pass times include tennis and cycling. He contributes directly and indirectly to a number of third world charities.
