Summary
I love building brands that sell! Captivate. Connect. Convert. My passion and purpose is serving as the ultimate connector: bridging worlds, bringing people and ideas together, and uniting iconic and interesting clients with top-tier talent. I've been called the Connectress who solves communication problems with creativity. For Fortune 500 caliber brand work with an Ivy League pedigree, call or email me. Brands I built that sold include: • Zipcar (acquired by Avis Budget Group after IPO) where I was the first VP Marketing/CMO • Inc.com (sold to Bertelsmann) where I served as VP Marketing • Launch Media (which went public and was later bought by Yahoo!) where I was the first SVP of Marketing Previous Marketing highlights include: working for The Coca-Cola Company as a special assistant to the CMO of Global Marketing (Sergio Zyman); serving as Director of the 1996 Olympic Commemorative Coin Program at the United States Mint, U.S. Department of Treasury; and working in Brand Management at Procter & Gamble. I'm a popular keynote speaker and panelist at venues including: • New England Direct Marketing Association • MIT Enterprise Forum • Harvard Business School • American Marketing Association • Simmons School of Management (where I was also Entrepreneur-in-Residence and on Dean’s Advisory Council) • Women in Technology • Various corporate workshops and industry conferences Other experiences include: being on the Continuing Legal Education faculty; judging the Dalton Pen, Web Marketing Association and Stevie Awards; coaching other entrepreneurs through Springboard Enterprises; and hosting online webinars to share marketing expertise with business owners around the world. I am: the first/only woman elected Chair of the Board of Trustees, Sports Museum at the TD Garden; former Chair Alumni Board Stanford University; VP HBS Global Alumni Board; founding Board member Women Entrepreneurs in Science & Technology; appointed Director from HBS on the HAA Board; current advisor to several early-stage private companies and non-profit organization; record 3-time past President of the Stanford Club of New England representing 5 states and 6,500 alums. Undergraduate degree in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Wrote popular monthly column for Entrepreneur for 4 years and Forbes for a year.
