Summary
I have an International experience in the service sector and the renewable energy sector, for over 25 years on an executive management level. Throughout this period I have been heavily engaged in business strategy planning and execution, feasibility studies, M&A projects, business process and operations streamlining, investment projects, both in terms of planning and execution, new business development and turnarounds. I have an extensive operational and management experience in the transportation service sector. In 1998 to 2011 and 2014 to 2019 I worked for Samskip, first serving as a Manager of Logistics Department, then Vice President of International Operations, Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Shipping and as CEO. My main focus during that period was on creating strategic clarity, drive innovation and growth, ensure disciplined execution, and deliver results. This focus will remain very relevant in my current position as the CEO of Dagar hf. I have an in depth knowledge and experience in Hydro- and Geothermal Power Schemes development and execution. Up to 1998 I worked as a Consulting Engineer serving the Power Industry in Iceland and during 2011 to 2014 as the Executive Vice President of Project Planning and Constructions at Landsvirkjun (National Power Company of Iceland). I hold an MBA degree from the University of Iceland and MSc degree from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) along with CSc degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Iceland.
