In addition, he is the retired President and CEO of Follett Corporation—a more than 145 year-old hallmark brand, and family-owned company, that serves as the world’s largest single source of books, digital content and multi-media for libraries, schools, colleges and universities. Prior to joining Follett, Connolly spent 28 years at Sodexo, where he most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Schools & Universities Worldwide, a global business with operations in 35 countries. Sodexo, the 18th largest employer in the world, is a leader in delivering integrated facilities management, food service operations and recognition programs to organizations in 80 countries. Connolly has a strong reputation for exceeding objectives, and shareholder expectations, through innovative strategic direction, bold and diverse organizational transformation, and significant engagement of associates and stakeholders. He has devoted his career to important, purpose-driven causes and initiatives including literacy, diversity and inclusion and improving the quality of life in communities around the world.
