Summary
I've spent most of my career in the space between art and technology, often where the two worlds intersect. From software development to product design, from technology support to photographer/video editor, I've worn more than a few hats. In past years I've also worked towards building a number of creative communities in the Milwaukee area, including Web414 and Milwaukee Makerspace, and have been involved in a number of participatory sharing & learning events such as BarCampMilwaukee, PhotoCamp, the Milwaukee 3D Printing Meetup, and Maker Faire Milwaukee. I'm also an artist/designer who works in digital fabrication, electronics, media, and occasionally experiments and builds strange machines that explore the relationship between humans and technology. I've also worked in the areas of photography, video & audio production, printmaking, sculpture, digital arts, and more things than I can remember. (I'm a big fan of the DIY ethic.) I have been a publisher for over 30 years, starting with magazines and moving to the internet where I've maintained a blog that started in 1997 (and continues today) as well as providing content for other publishing outlets. I am a documentarian and archivist, believing that we need to make note and share our work for the future. Thanks for reading this.
