A mature Technical and Commercial Manager experienced in Departmental, Team, Product and Project Management, I possess a dedication to Customer Care combined with Commercial Awareness and believe strongly that maintaining the highest standards of customer care and service are essential for continued business development. My career began with my being sponsored by a large UK Telecommunications company on a four-year Electrical Engineering Sandwich Degree course. After graduating with a First Class Honours Degree, I continued with the company as an Electronics Design Engineer until I took a career break of three years in order to do voluntary work in Spain. Since my re-appointment, by invitation, with the company I enjoyed an interesting and ever challenging career in a number of roles and achieved a track record of successfully completing a disparate variety of complex assignments. Having reached a senior Technical Line Manager position in engineering, I sought a role within the company that would provide the opportunity to have more commercial exposure and customer contact and was successful in obtaining a very satisfying post in the Product Marketing Department, being appointed Product Manager for a range of highly technical products and Project Manager for some large-scale projects. In this capacity, I worked closely with technical staff, sales teams and account managers and liaised with similar staff in client companies, both in this country and overseas. I am now looking to have a change of career and am seeking to use my managerial, interpersonal and communication skills in an alternative sector where they will be of benefit.
