I started my IT career in the UK in 1971 as a trainee Programmer writing real time applications in Octal Machine Code. From there, I worked in Melbourne Australia as a Systems Engineer for Fujitsu. Became an IT Consultant and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1978. Co-founded and managed an IT consulting company until 2000 when I segued into staffing/recruiting, working for companies ranging from small local boutique agencies to large nationwidewide companies like Ajilon. Partner in a small IT focused Recruiting Company from 2000 until 2006. During that time also involved in export company selling into primarily West Africa and South America. 2006 - 2013 - Lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. Senior Search Consultant for Noramtec Consultants Inc. headquartered in Montreal. 2013 - Moved to Sarasota Florida 2014 - Joined POPYachts, the largest yacht brokerage in the US. Currently Senior Broker. 2021 - Temporarily retired..open to suggestions. Sailing background includes 2 seasons working on poweryachts in Med. I charter, 1 private. Worked as seaman on commercial bulk carriers, oil tankers and break bulk. Owned and raced 37 ft. IOR San Francisco Bay and ocean as well as crewed on numerous other raceboats for 28 years.
