Ron Herardian is an experienced technology leader with a unique blend of technical depth, strategic vision, and leadership experience in enterprise SaaS and cybersecurity. Ron guides organizations in the areas of product and technology strategy, software and system architecture and engineering, application modernization, and cybersecurity, including AI safety and security. Currently a consultant, Ron serves as an interim Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) and provides AI model and application security testing services. Ron's leadership experience includes consulting and professional services, cloud native SaaS, cybersecurity, DevOps and DevSecOps, as well as governance, risk management, and compliance. Ron has a proven track record building and leading high-performing and global technical teams to design, build, and operate large scale systems and solutions. Ron has worked for, co-founded, or advised several Silicon Valley software startups, including working for Netscape and Proofpoint, and has also worked for established technology companies, such as Cisco, Oracle, and SAP SuccessFactors. Ron is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a board member of the IEEE Consultants’ Network of Silicon Valley (CNSV), and a Senior Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). He is also a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and a Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) working group member. Ron has contributed extensively to the field through published research and analyses, whitepapers, and keynote presentations. Ron occasionally serves as an expert consultant or expert witness in software related intellectual property matters and is a qualified expert witness in the state of California. He is a graduate of Santa Clara University and of Stanford University.
