Rick personally brings over 25 years of CFO-level experience including Big 4 CPA experience (Arthur Andersen & Co.), IPO experience and as a sitting CFO within the technology and life science markets. His background includes a range of companies from Fortune 500 to high-growth entrepreneurial opportunities. He holds a BA in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from Michigan State University and has a CPA certificate and has sat on committees for both the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) and COSO (Committee on Sponsoring Organizations) He leads and directs engagements involving: • First audit and IPO readiness • SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) §404 compliance and documentation • M&A: Quality of earnings and audit assistance • Technical accounting: 10-Q and 10-K support * Revenue recognition (ASC §606); leasing (ASC §842) Most recently we are getting a many inquiries regarding the new revenue recognition rules (ASC §606) from CFOs concerned about having to maintain two sets of books - effective now for many. Rick is also an active member of ProVisors San Jose 2 group and active in the ProVisors M&A and Distributors/Manufactureres Affinity Groups. He continues to be active in FEI (Financial Executives International) continuing to sit on the Board of the Silicon Valley Chapter with National responsibilities.
