Summary
I am now fully retired and not accepting employment or consulted offers. Most recently, I was a Principal Consultant and Association Vertical Lead for Impact Makers. Along with Ironworks Consulting and ICF International, I had the privilege of providing digital, technology and other business services for large nonprofits, Fortune 500 companies and government agencies including the American Cancer Society, American College of Physicians, American Institute of Architects, EDUCAUSE, American Council on Education, ChildFund International, ISACA, The Nature Conservancy, PBS, National Wildlife Federation, Discovery Education, Dominion Energy, Federal Reserve, NASDAQ, and the Veterans Health Administration. I served in an executive capacity with the American Diabetes Association from 1991 to 2005, most recently as National Vice President, Constituent Relations. With more than 25 years of management experience in nonprofit organizations, my other employers included the American Lung Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the Natural Resources Council of Maine. In addition, I have served in volunteer leadership roles with several charitable organizations and am currently serving on the Board of Directors for the BBB Wise Giving Alliance (give.org). I am often asked to present at conferences. In February 2014, I presented a keynote address on change and innovation at the Voluntary Health Leadership Conference in Tucson. Specialties: association executive, web strategies, technology road maps, strategic planning, project management, innovation, organization transformation and social media.
