Summary
I grew up in Tokyo, Japan, and have built my career in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. I’ve established and led global sales, marketing, and customer success teams, managing revenue responsibilities of up to $60 million ARR. My focus has been on serving enterprise and SMB customers, primarily by delivering software solutions to creative and IT departments. I pride myself on being organized, focused, and a strong communicator. My greatest passions and strengths lie in recruiting, team building, and fostering a positive company culture. I'm obsessed with customer service and a curious student of modern GTM best practices. I don't take myself too seriously. Career highlights include: • Co-founded and was Chairman of Toolfarm, a global online reseller of motion graphics and animation software. In July 2023, Toolfarm was acquired by Midwich Group (LON: MIDW), a publicly traded UK IT distribution company with approximately $1.6 billion in annual revenue and nearly 1,900 employees. • Head of Global Sales at Red Giant from 2014 to 2021. Our team was tasked with transitioning the company’s business to a B2B SaaS model selling to enterprise and SMBs. This shift significantly boosted Red Giant’s revenue and enterprise value, culminating in a successful nine figure exit in 2020 to Maxon, a subsidiary of Nemetschek Group (FWB: NEM), a publicly traded German software company with a market capitalization of approximately $10.7 billion.
