Summary
As a land use attorney and a former assistant professor of urban planning (and planner), I bring a unique set of skills to the representation of parties before local and state governments in land use decisions and litigation. My practice includes representing developers or landowners, adversely affected neighbors, and local governments. My practice is largely focused on public and private disputes that involve significant governmental regulatory or financing issues. Areas in which I concentrate my practice include: litigation and appeals of land use and local government decisions; land use and zoning applications; code enforcement; administrative proceedings; impact fees/special assessments; development agreements; and public records. I am one of approximately 250 attorneys in Florida who is Board Certified in City, County and Local Government Law. I have been recognized by Best Lawyers in America since 2010, first in Land & Zoning Law and now also in Litigation - Land Use & Zoning. I have also been recognized as one of Florida Trend's Legal Elite in Environmental and Land Use Law.
