I am a Senior Policy Analyst with over 20 years of experience in education and social policy. I began my career as a high school Government and U.S. History teacher before moving into the P-20 education policy sphere, where I worked the private, non-profit, and public sectors. I am passionate about helping others, so my work has been varied, with a focus on P-20 education and social policy, research, and analysis. I have successfully managed and mentored teams, empowering staff to contribute significantly to the many projects I have led. I am a collaborative leader and an experienced manager and I excel in building strong relationships with diverse teams who produce reports and other products for high-profile clients, including members of Congress and federal agency officials. These reports focus on topics such as K-12 teacher shortages and programs that help children affected by trauma; they describe issues associated with programs and policies and ways to improve them, which have had an impact on millions of Americans and their families.
