History / Highlights FinTech: -CATS founding member 1986; first tech ISDA member; early desk-top derivatives trading application, left to start Infinity 1989; IPO 1994 (CATS Nasdaq). -Infinity founding CEO / investor 1989; Sequoia Cap financing 1994; IPO 1996 (INFN Nasdaq) to sale to NYSE SunGard Data Systems 1998. Infinity became world leader that brought cross-asset derivatives technology to trading, risk management and back office processing. We tried to bring best risk management practices to the derivatives trading market - guess that didn't work too well. Great returns to investors. $100,000 investment 1989 returned $8M in 1996; $2M Sequoia 1994 investment returned $63M 1996 30x return. - Asia: opened CATS Tokyo office 1987; grew Tokyo office to company’s largest market; Infinity 1989-1999 major regional successes Tokyo, Singapore, HK, Sydney. -Europe: Infinity Paris 1991, London 1992. Grew Europe to 1/3 of global business by 1998. Multiple European offices. - Sun Ranch, Montana 1998 - 2010: Blending high tech, ag and conservation sciences, ranching, real estate, and hospitality industries rolled into one integrated eco-conservation enterprise that carefully developed and conserved important American western landscapes. Sold Sun Ranch (18,000 deeded acres +10,000+ managed public land) under conservation easement for wildlife. - ISP: Cutthroat Communications founding CEO 2001: IP, Networking and RF sciences put to work for underserved SMB rural towns and communities. Sold to Blackfoot Telecommunications 2013. - SaaS Early investor Securant: cyber security engine sold to RSA Security early 2000's. - Venture fund investments: Mayfield, Inspiration NorCal origination, I love family, fly fishing, travel, romance languages, the U.S. great west and Europe.
