Summary
I am currently an Officer to the Board of Directors of the Trustee Companies and an assistant to the Group Board Secretary; providing support to the Group Board and Trustees, and working on projects focused on improving corporate governance. I have a particular interest in harnessing the power engineering has to transform lives; both the end users, and the individuals from diverse backgrounds that decide to become engineers themselves. As an Associate Director at Arup, I have seen the difference communicating engineering's social impact, and the importance of collaborative working, can make; including introducing school girls to the opportunities available, funding staff to design a maternity unit in Rwanda and kindergartens across Ghana, and providing assistance in the aftermath of the Nepal Earthquake. My previous roles include Global Head of Community Engagement, Trustee of Engineers without Borders UK, UKMEA Diversity Project Manager, Project Information Management team leader and Founder of COMIT (a community pursuing effective use of mobile IT in construction). Specialities: Process improvement, project management, collaboration tools, Mobile IT, funded research projects, construction research, IT in Construction, Community Engagement
