Summary

Having practiced as a Corporate lawyer (largely Private Equity transactions and VC investments) for 15 years I moved into law firm management. From running OC's US operation for a couple of years, I then became it's UK Managing Partner and International CEO. Over a period of 20 years in leadership positions revenue has increased fivefold to over €300m, the partner base has quadrupled to 280 and profits and cash have improved immeasurably. That growth has been achieved whilst maintaining the firm's collaborative culture as a result of a clear strategy and expectations, differentiation through sectors and future focus, internationalisation and recruitment and development of top talent. I am now looking to build a portfolio of Chair and NED roles and undertake some projects. My first such role is Chair of the ambitious and growing offshore law firm Collas Crill, who are based in the Channel Islands and the Caribbean, and have many leading practices in those locations. My second role is Chair of Kinstellar's governance body. Kinstellar acts as trusted legal adviser to leading investors and corporates across Emerging Europe and Central Asia. I am also President of a wonderful Bristol based charity, The Grateful Society (www.gratefulsociety.org) that raises funds to support volunteer led organisations improve the physical and mental well-being of older vulnerable people in Bristol and the surrounding areas to enhance their quality of life and alleviate loneliness and social isolation.
