Summary

Larsen’s entrepreneurial career involves starting and running nine companies. As founder, co-founder and CEO, he personally raised over $43M in venture funding and was involved in raising $120M more. These companies created over 1,500 jobs, two successful IPOs (public stock offerings) and a sale to IBM for over $400M. Larsen spent four years as a venture partner with St. Paul Venture Capital, a billion dollar Venture Capital firm and later Emergence Capital. His investment team invested in over 20 companies. He mentored Visage Mobile, raising seed and Series A funding rounds. Larsen held senior management positions at IBM/Prodigy, AT&T, Open Systems, and CDC. He is the former Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Thunderbird School of Management in Glendale and advises companies in his role with the Arizona Commerce Authority.  In his spare time he rides motorcycles and writes. His adventure articles appear in RIDER Magazine, Motorcycle Consumer News, RoadRunner and The Overland Journal.
