Summary
- A research scientist in cryptography and information security. I design cryptographic protocols and verify its security to facilitate secure use of cryptographic protocols to enhance our life. - Extensive contributions to technology standard: an editor of three ISO/IEC standards on cryptographic protocols (Anonymous entity authentication ISO/IEC2009-2, secret sharing (ISO/IEC19592-1) and Verification of Cryptographic Protocols(ISO/IEC29128)), contribution to IETF standardization of TLS1.3 on the security evaluation. I also founded international consortium on security evaluation of cryptographic protocols, so called "CELLOS" consortium. US, UK, Estonian, French, and Japanese universities, research institutes, company and individuals participate this consortium. I proposed a new hash specification suitable for real information system. It was presented 2nd cryptographic hash workshop held by NIST. - Giving academic contributions to emerging “Blockchain” technology by constructing BSafe.network - an international academic neutral research test network for blockchain technology, which has a similar role as NSFNet for the Internet development. - To accomplish above goals, I am working at Silicon Valley security start up and conducting academic research at MIT Media Lab (Research Affiliate), the University of Tokyo (Research Fellow) and Keio University (Research Professor). Specialties: Cryptography, cryptographic protocols, Bitcoin/blockchain, information security and privacy protection Web Page: http://people.cs.georgetown.edu/matsuo/
