Summary
With a seasoned 25 years in product design, I've had the privilege to work with industry leaders, including American Express (spanning their Travel & Lifestyle, Asset Management, and KYC & KYB Services), Chase Travel, Dime Community Bank, Genentech, Honor Health, and Natural Grocers. I thrive in leading cross-disciplinary design & research teams, guiding them through every facet of the product development lifecycle. My expertise encompasses agile methodologies, particularly SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). I'm adept at steering design teams through sprint and PI-based phases, focusing on discovery, delivery, and meticulous impact measurement. Moreover, facilitating engaging stakeholder sessions is my forte; I'm proficient in a range of Design Thinking activities, from experience mapping, workflow process mapping, and opportunity solution tree mapping to product roadmap and business canvas definition. As a mentor, I find joy in uplifting product designers, imparting them with competencies in areas such as design system implementation, product documentation, Figma variable strategies, and effective client communication. My emphasis on continuous discovery practices means I'm always seeking innovative ways to enhance insight repositories and knowledge management, especially when harnessing the power of AI. A staunch advocate for open-source technologies, I run a dedicated homelab, delving into the intriguing worlds of AI, Natural Language Processing, Autonomous Agents, and other machine learning endeavors. Although my primary identity is as a designer, my roots in product engineering have armed me with the unique ability to seamlessly bridge the often-disparate worlds of design and engineering.
