Sunwoo's career spans 25 years in strategy, operations, business development and capital markets as a management consultant, operating executive and entrepreneur. His industry experience with early stage, growth and Fortune 500 companies includes venture, technology, finance, lending, business services and real estate. A 2x entrepreneur, Sunwoo has served as founder, founding team member and EIR for venture-backed businesses including Northstar Systems (acq. by SEIC) and Sixup (Federally-certified, state-licensed fintech). Sunwoo recently gained recognition for his entrepreneurship and innovation in fintech from Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and Visa. Sunwoo has structured and executed corporate financing across the capital stack with diverse institutional investors including venture, family offices, foundations, pension funds, banks and strategics. As Founder & CEO of Sixup, he also led capital markets in structuring, transacting and managing a portfolio of warehouse and asset-backed credit facilities with Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Pier Asset Management and Rockefeller Foundation. Sunwoo has served operating executive roles in business development and corporate strategy with venture firms and enterprise software startups. He started his career in management consulting with A.T. Kearney. Sunwoo earned a BA in Economics at Northwestern University. He is a former U.S. National Judo Champion (4th degree black belt) who enjoys fly fishing, snowboarding, cooking and interior design.
