As an enthusiastic and determined problem solver, I have held leadership roles at Locus Robotics, Expresso Fitness, OneHealth, Metaplace/Playdom, Joost, Yahoo!, DivX, MP3.com and Apache startup Covalent Technologies, among other companies. I have built platforms acquired by private companies, Fortune 100 companies, and companies that have seen Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). Accomplishments: * Built a HIPAA compliant event-driven, graph-based platform where people can be more effective in managing their chronic disease. * Turned around a struggling virtual worlds startup to a top 40 social game company acquired by Disney. * Lead company-wide implementation of lean and DevOps principles that lead to daily deployments and significantly higher customer satisfaction. * Lead technology operations for european startup Joost founded by Niklas and Janus of Skype. * Managed deployment of source data hubs in 5 data centers in 3 continents including budgeting, customs, sourcing and contract management. * Managed a MPEG-4 based video ecosystem across a multitude of platforms including Windows, OS X, Linux, Embedded Devices such as set-top boxes (STB), DVD players, video cameras and mobile phones. * In 2012 founded the 1K+ member San Diego DevOps group to facilitate learning and sharing how to build a rewarding collaborative culture to deliver the best customer experience possible. * Experienced two IPOs: MP3.com, Inc. raising $344MM on July 21st, 1999 and DivX, Inc. raising $108MM on Sept 27th, 2006. I have the ability to quickly translate business objectives and concepts into reality with an eye towards quantitative results, long-term growth and scalability.
