Summary
I'm a connector who works with early stage founders/teams to chart a path for growth. After leaving government service, I joined The Ashcroft Group as its Chief Technology Officer in January 2009 and served in that capacity until 2020. In 2011 I co-founded InAuth, which had a successful exit in 2016. I'm a "scout" for a few venture funds and spend my time looking for the next cool tech thing or the next cool founder with a strong idea for disruption. My 30 year management and technology consulting background includes over fifteen years in the private sector designing and deploying case management, financial management and intelligence systems for government customers. For the past fifteen years, I've focused on early stage companies with DNA from the intelligence, cyber and law enforcement communities. From 2006 to 2009, I was the Special Assistant (XO) to the Department of Justice Chief Information Officer, Van Hitch, and I helped him coordinate initiatives to transform the Department’s multi-billion-dollar information technology infrastructure. While at Stanford University, I played in two NCAA tournaments and two NIT tournaments (1991 Champs). After graduating, I had a short professional basketball career in Sweden before moving to Washington DC.
