Lemméy was named one of 100 Most Creative People in Business in 2013 by Fast Company magazine and is one of MCP 1000: The Most Creative People in Business. An inventor, founder, creator and designer Tara takes on big ideas from re-imagining the future of higher education with her DGREE.org initiative, to designing policy and technology for the US post 9/11 with the Markle National Security Task Force, to expanding possibilities for health innovation on the faculty of University of Arizona’s Center for Integrative Medicine, to inventing new technology with her 70 patents. As an entrepreneur she founded and ran multiple high growth startups in Silicon Valley, and has served on corporate and non-profit boards as an innovation and strategy leader. Lemméy is currently a member of The Markle Initiative for America’s Economic Future where she collaborates with national leaders to invent new strategies and scalable solutions for jobs, participation, economic security and growth. Tara has teamed with the U.S. State Department on public diplomacy and outreach programs around the world with her speaking tours on entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth, most recently in Switzerland and Turkey. Previously, Lemméy was a Commissioner on the Embassy of the Future Task Force at the Center for Strategic and International Studies as the "Ambassador from Silicon Valley"​.
