Summary
I have taught for nearly 20 years in a variety of areas in the general field of the language arts. I have also worked as a freelance writer, public relations person, disc jockey, and advertising copywriter. Basically, I'm a communication generalist. If it has to do with words written or spoken, I've studied it, I've done it, and I've taught it. My professional goals include developing better uses of technology to deliver education in the classroom, in cyberspace and to remote regions of the world. I am especially interested at the moment in how digital video conferencing can be used to create virtual classrooms in remote parts of the world where there is no access to educational services. I am consulting with a company called EVA-Knows relevant to that issue. We are also looking into how the same technology can be used for evangelism and training of national ministers. I am also working on developing a little literary magazine on-line. It is intended to present quality fiction, poetry and literary essays which are wholesome and uplifting. It is called Inspire! (http://www.inspireonline.org) It is scheduled to launch June 15. Specialties: Integrating technology into the classroom Distance Education
