Summary
I'm part of the team building OrangeCollective.vc, which exclusively invests in Y Combinator companies pre-Demo Day. I'm also Cofounder and Chair of Action Tank, "Palantir for NGOs". We believe in the mailing list of every NGO is untapped potential. NGOs have fans with connections, expertise, and influence across all spheres: business, government, academia, media, etc. We have developed an AI/data science-powered process to activate these hidden allies, with no new software to learn. We particularly focus on helping organizations fighting for democracy, civil liberties, rule of law, national security, and against corruption, terrorism, and misinformation. I built and manage: -AltsTech.com: a community for family offices, allocators, private equity funds, lenders, and VCs using AI and analytics to generate alpha in the alternatives markets; and -FoundersNextMove.com: a community for tech founders who have exited. Previously, I have 4 times helped build early-stage investment organizations. I was a Partner at Coolwater Capital, investing in emerging VC funds via their management company, GP, and LP. I was the first non-founding Partner to join HOF Capital and ff Venture Capital, two NY-based early stage VCs which each had <$10m AUM when I joined. In both cases, we grew both AUM and our LP base >10x during my tenure. HOF Capital now manages over $2b AUM with LPs from 37 countries. I also founded Harvard Business School Alumni Angels NY, now the East Coast's largest angel group. I have advised institutional investors including Activate Venture Partners, Birch Hill Equity, Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group, Icahn Enterprises, LLR Partners, Orange Collective, OTMT Investments (Sawiris family office), Real Ventures, Right Side Capital, Tiferes.vc, and Transform Investment Group.
