I am an attorney and business advisor building the cooperative movement as Executive Director of Carolina Common Enterprise. I have made a career of working with creative and community-minded people. My law practice focuses on cooperatives, social enterprise, and community asset building. I also work to build the legal profession to better serve the new economy. Co-ops and community based ventures are the most robust and equitable forms of business in a market economy. I am a Cooperative Developer, helping people start and grow cooperatives through Carolina Common Enterprise, a cooperative development center serving the Carolinas. My work with "co-opreneurs" helps people exercise greater control over their own economic circumstances. My law practice falls mainly into the following areas: - Cooperatives and Social Enterprise with formation and structuring. - Worker ownership and employee to cooperative conversion. - Advancing cooperative law and co-op professional practice.
