Summary
I am a former tenured faculty member in the College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology where I taught various business courses, specializing in statistics, probability, decision sciences, and finance. I have had diverse experience in consulting, education, survey research, data analysis, engineering, and private business. Prior to that, I worked as an engineer in the aerospcee industry. Since leaving academia more than thirty five years ago, I have been working independently in the realm of societal improvement and community development and financial innovation, researching, writing, lecturing and consulting with groups and individuals to develop and implement innovative approaches to exchange and finance that are fair, equitable, sustainable, scalable, cooperative and democratic. I am seeking associates to work on community economic development projects, especially projects that provide local liquidity using private community currencies and mutual credit clearing exchanges. One private currency model that is based on sound principles of credit and circulation, and has the potential to rapidly scale, is the Solar Dollar currency (https://beyondmoney.net/2016/08/26/solar-dollars-a-private-currency-with-multiple-benefits/). Commercial trade ("barter") exchanges have demonstrated the effectiveness of direct credit clearing among buyers and seller. Their further development and optimization will revolutionize the way we do payments. Specialties: Non-monetary exchange options that provide local self-reliance, resilience, and sustainability by creating local liquidity based on local productivity. Creative financing approaches for municipalities and business associations.
