SHORT BIO; An educator, designer, and filmmaker based in Tokyo, Japan. She develops media contents, educational materials, and workshops for children and young students, and has worked on commercial projects for Japanese enterprises, publishing companies, and the Agency for Cultural Affairs. As a member of the animation team Amamgokun, her work has been featured at the New York Int’l Children's Film Festival, the Kids' Film Fair at Walker Art Center, and has won awards at ZEBRA, Fest Anca, and the San Diego Int’l kids Film Festival. She holds a Ph.D. in Fine Art and teaches media design, history of animation and visual art at colleges, with her students winning prizes in advertising video, comic, and picture book competitions. ----- NOTE FOR ANIME FANS She is also known as: a model and inspiration of characters of Anime by Dir.
