Summary
I enjoy creating innovative and disruptive products — from advances in aerospace and fuel technology to cybersecurity and communications. All my endeavors are built with a dual intention to contribute to the advancement of technology and betterment of society. As a licensed private pilot, I also enjoy globetrotting and as of 2025 have visited more than 40 countries together with my treasured family, including our beloved Italian greyhound. Building transformative technologies is my lifelong passion, including a global VoIP solution (Teleo, acquired by Microsoft), founding America’s largest online voicemail platform (eVoice, acquired by AOL), creating one of the world’s first mass-market cybersecurity solutions (WalkSoftly, acquired by Intel), and co-founded America’s largest work-at-home virtual call center (LiveOps, honored by the White House for increasing employment opportunities for veterans and workers with disabilities). My family tree dates back to the Mayflower era, and after an idyllic upbringing in northernmost Appalachia my dreams led me to Silicon Valley where I designed popular video games including 'Star Wars,' 'Beauty & The Beast,' 'Nova Blast,' and I loved creating the first C-compiler for Mac. I often participate as a speaker, tech judge and advisor in communities including the World Economic Forum, TED Global, DLD Tel Aviv and DLD Munich, the Aspen Institute, Fortune Brainstorm Tech, XPRIZE, the Israel Conference, Burning Man, MITA Tech Talks and more.
