Summary
Will Law is a Chief Architect within the Cloud Technology Group at Akamai. He has been involved with streaming media on the web for the last 24 years with a strong focus on client-side development and wrote many of the connection frameworks that drove much of the early media traffic flowing over Akamai. He has a current focus on Media over QUIC (MoQ), WebTransport, CMCD, CMSD, MPEG DASH and HLS streaming and low latency OTT delivery. Law holds Masters degrees in Aerospace Engineering and an MBA and has worked previously for Adobe, VitalStream and a series of five engineering and media-related startups. Law is a founding board member and past-Chairman of the DASH Industry Forum as well as past Chairman of the CTA WAVE Project. Currently he is Co-Chairing the W3C WebTransport Working Group, as well as chairing the CTA WAVE CMCD Task Force. He speaks at numerous conferences worldwide each year, across both broadband and broadcast and was named one of the top 50 most influential people in VOD.
