Ishida, renowned for his remarkable career at Sony Corporation, has made significant contributions to the technology sector. Graduating from Keio University in 1982, he joined Sony as a mechanical design engineer, specializing in personal computers and peripheral products. In 1985, he became an account manager at Sony's Components Sales and Marketing Group, handling key accounts like Apple Computer Inc. and playing a crucial role in Trinitron Display sales. At Sharp, Ishida played a crucial role in the company's transformation, focusing on AIoT (Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things) business strategy. He served as CEO of Sharp Europe and assumed additional responsibilities for Corporate Product Quality, Branding, Design, and various business segments. In October 2018, Ishida became Chairman and Representative Director of Dynabook Inc., a Sharp Corporation subsidiary following the acquisition of Toshiba's PC business. He resigned from Sharp Corporation in May 2020. In June 2021, Ishida joined the board of directors at Yanmar Holdings Co., LTD, a global manufacturing company specializing in agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and energy systems. He also held a board member position at Ouga Japan from July to November 2021. As of June 2023, Ishida has partnered with Quantum Leaps Corporation, showcasing his continued involvement in the technology industry.
