I am a former software engineer and an experienced software development leader specializing in large scale Internet development with 20+ years of demonstrated success leading globally distributed, cross-functional development teams. I have successfully managed small and large (250+) teams within startups and large organizations, delivering high value products on a wide range of technology stacks. I have extensive experience across software development methodologies focused on lean and agile development and adapting their practices to the needs of the organization. I’ve managed multiple hosted and cloud based services and have been working “on the Internet” from the earliest days. I am adept at creating, managing, and leading highly functional development teams focused on building elegant consumer products. I am passionate about building balanced teams that meet or exceed the strategic needs of the company, give people the opportunity to grow and achieve their full potential, work well with their cross functional peers, and use technology to influence product development as well as account for product needs to develop technology.
